Left 4 Dead 2 Announced

A sequel to Valve's cooperative zombie shooter Left 4 Dead was just announced at Microsoft's E3 Media Briefing, with the game slated to arrive on PC and Xbox 360.

Cool. I hope the increase (or to be accurate, create) a sizeable single player portion for this sequel. Only reason I never bought it.

Looking forward to this one L4D always seems to be the game I go back to the playability is excellent

The sequel looks like the graphics of TF2 but with L4D game play. So no new maps for L4D, instead we have to pay for a 'new' game.

has Valve forgotten about Half Life 2: Episode 3??...seems like all their resources are now focused on 'other' games such as TF2 and L4D...is Episode 3 no longer a priority??

If they don't announce EP3 on this E3, I'm gonna fly personally over to Gabe and kick him in his balls. They simply just can't keep fans in the dark like this, it's making a mockery of those who actually pays their salary.

Yeah, how hard can it be to make the last episode. If they don't announce it, it better be a full length game (I'm not a fan of the episodic releases, seems like they're being lazy).

As for L4D, I'm glad they've introduced some variety in the weapons. I hope they also add some more ranged weapons to the arsenal. The characters look nice too.

It looks more as a second DLC for original L4D rather than a standalone sequence.

Also from all the screenshots i could find the game doesn't give the feeling of a horror-game... I could say "A Zombie Panic Clone".
The melee combat (chainsaw,axe..) seems an addition from Killing Floor.

In my opinion if it's priced more than 20€ it won't worth (if somebody has already the first one), considering the first L4D can be modded like this (when they give as the full SDK, as promised)...

They should have released Episode 3 for HL2 instead...
