iPhone dev calls for 'premium' App Store

The iPhone's App Store should feature a dedicated area for higher priced 'premium' content, according to the managing director of Dynamo Games.

Such a feature would help more expensive content stand out in the busy marketplace, said the developer of Championship Manager 2009 Express, where a majority of titles sell for as a little as 59 pence.

Re: iPhone dev calls for 'premium' App Store

Price should not constitute an application getting a "premium" tag. There should be more to it than just that, otherwise all a dev has to do is mark their app at a higher price bracket, and it instantly becomes a premium app. I also don't think an app should get a premium tag just because if comes from a big development house, as that's not fair to the other devs, most of them indie devs, who are putting out comparitive or better apps for far less money.
