The America's Army Website announces the release on Steam of America's Army 3, the third iteration of this freeware military shooter designed by the U.S. Army, which launches along with the promised America's Army online graphic novel, which can be viewed on this page.

The last time i played AA was V1.That took some time to get used to the game play.

As this is a online game i lost patience with it some time ago.. (Im not a online gamer),As this is totally free to download and play i don't see a problem trying this out once again..

The only thing at this time my steam Pre-Download still has not unlocked.

tried to start the preload, but it seems servers are "too busy"...
guess i'll give it a try sometime...

trying to download myself, got the busy error a few times. u can change the steam content servers your client connects to in the via view, settings, downloads tab, changed it up to a server closer to my local than it was previously set and wala, downloading at a modest 550KB

I remember playing the game a year ago. It's not bad, but they make you go through a ton of unnecessary "boot camp" style training missions which, if I remember, took a couple hours. Essentially, they teach you how to play an FPS, and about military history, and educate you about the vehicles and weapons, etc. It got pretty boring, pretty quick, and after that it was just easier to play COD4.

Mine is showing 'Preloaded;unreleased' on Steam, managed to start it by going to the SteamApps folder and double clicking AA3.exe, got as far as registering an account but its now frozen...

Currently i keep failing to hit a minimum of 23 hit on the first arms course.

I now made the fist mark (1)..Also was forced to restart the game as it locked up..i have lost my first unlocked scenario.
