Find out what features are included in PS3 system software update 3.00.

An update to the PS3™ system software was released on September 1, 2009. If you update your PS3 system, the system software version will be 3.00 and the following features will be updated. In order to download PS3 system software version 3.00, you will need a minimum 160Mb of free space on either the PS3 Hard Disk Drive (System Update) or on removable storage media (PC Update).

  • [Audio Multi-Output] has been added as an option under [Sound Settings].

About time they added this one. Now I don't have to switch the audio source back and fourth whenever I want to listen via my stereo (and headphones), or via my TV.
