PC Modern Warfare 2: it's much worse than you thought

Modern Warfare 2 has long earned the ire of PC gamers for its lack of dedicated servers, but Infinity Ward has now announced that it's taking away much more than control over hosting with the game in one long face-palm of a question and answer session. No servers, no console, no mods, no problem!

Keeps getting worse. maximum size of 9v9...wtf is wrong with them...5 second delay if the host quits so the game can choose a new host...piss off IW.

While I am shocked at how quickly Infinity Ward turned its back on PC gamers (CoD series is one of the most competitive friendly series in existence) I am also impressed with the number crunching behind such a move. Someone at IW or Activision realized that MW2 will make shitballs of money on the consoles so why spend extra development time/money on the PC version when it can be ported with 100% of the console features. To them, the PC is just another console not a special case which needs tailoring for the player base. I feel bad for the PC gamers who love playing CoD online but at the same time all I want is the single player experience with top notch graphics and sound.

If locked to a fov 65 and some other possible cheaply ported console aspects thrown in I fear for the singleplayer as well. Not making a demo is probably a wise choice...

i said it once, and ill say it again. i had every intention of buying modern warfare this time around, but fuck them now. after all the shit like this, im just going to torrent it again.
