Modern Warfare 2 cost revealed

Now, everybody knows that Modern Warfare 2 grossed a whopping $550 million worldwide in first five days of launch. But how much the game cost to produce? According to latimes.com, Modern Warfare 2 cost $40 million to $50 million to produce, but if you add marketing expenses and the cost of producing and distributing discs, the launch budget was $200 million.

That's a lot imagine what would have happened to them if the game was boycotted due to lack of dedicated servers

Actually it appears no one boycotted it , it was just bitching. Look at the COD MW2 boycott steam group members :

Heck, I haven't bought MW2, and from what my friends tell me about its multiplayer, I probably a good move. Of course, Demon's Souls is taking up all my time right now.
