Not much compared to console's numbers , companies have priorities depend on "what gets us money more ?" , the fact that the console audience are larger than PC ones because consoles have longer lifetime , I mean you don't have to upgrade the parts every year like you did with the CPU and GPU in the PC case , in consoles you can play every newly released game with same hardware (for more than five years now) till the next generation arrives and so on, that is it.

The sad fact that people who bought the PC version will find themselves treated as second hand customers unlike their rivals who bought the console version and they will eventually decide no to buy Capcom's PC releases in the future (If Capcom even make it).

Companies shouldn't be narrow minded and work on multiple routes rather than bitching about PC platform really.

The console audience is not larger than the PC.
You do not have to upgrade your PC parts every year, unless you always buy the cheapest hardware, second hand, on sale.
You could have bought a PC in 2006 and not able to play Crysis, you can buy a PC now and still not be able to play Crysis lol.

I guess the problem is that they worry too much about piracy and instead of taking a chance and selling the dlc DRM free, they do not sell it and earn zero money from it from the PC installed base. Which is just stupid since they have already invested money both to have that base of users and to research and develop the DLC.
If all failed, they could still sell it via GFWL or as a mini expansion pack through steam, gamerssgate etc for the money they want.

Apart from upgrading which costs a big amount of money , there is a large amount of parents who consider buying consoles for their kids instead of computers for the reason I said , no experience required just plug , buy games and play without all the confusion any ordinary people may find in the PC case. Not all people are savvy enough to figure about requirements to play games on PC or other PC issues. PC is preferred for hardcore gaming , consoles are for casual IMO.

You wouldn't need any more technical expertise to install the DLC than to install the DLC for the consoles.
