A sequel to the critically acclaimed Far Cry 2 was confirmed last year with Ubisoft saying the game was "still at the preliminary stages." of development. Since then we haven't heard a lot from Ubi regarding the game, until now.
The guys over at Official PlayStation Magazine (Christmas 2009, UK Issue 039) spoke to Kevin Shortt, who has been working on James Cameron's Avatar The Game, and was asked him if he himself is working on the next title in the Far Cry series;
"No I'm not," he said, "But I know the team are and what I've seen looks pretty exciting"

If they expand and refine Far Cry 2, I would be very happy. And PLEASE reduce or give option for the spawning of enemies.
