To trim the fat of the PSP, Sony left out one of the speakers, removing the stereo sound. Unless gamers are using headphones, they will be forced to deal with an inferior sound quality, compared to previous models. This isn’t too much of a sacrifice since gamers tend to get a better experience playing handhelds with headphones than the built in speakers anyway.
