stocks here are good....
increased motion sensing will always be sweet
theres a few games aimed at the hardcore..... but more is always nicer
graphics are a MUST... 1080p minimum

like Judas said it must have improved graphics, this has got to be a necessity for the new wii system.

"Better range of motion sensing abilities" Well we are going to see that with WiiMotion Plus and I really doubt we are going to see a Wii 2 competing with Xbox 720 or PS4 on graphic quality, also I dont feel it's necessary. Through support for lets say 720p and a built-in HDD would be nice.

What we need is more hardcore games, like the upcomming Madworld, The Conduit, Monster Hunter, Cursed Mountain, Dead Rising, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Star Wars games, Zelda, Mario and so on.

Well, according to their own figures Nintendo R&D costs have went through the roof, the DSi costed £10 to think of, so they must be chucking lots of money into WiiHD.

In 2011 HD penetration will be reaching critical points in the EU, US and Japan, the digital revolution will mean that HD will be available as a standard broadcast in most countries by then. Nintendo will then exploit this by bringing out a console with post PS3/360 power at nowhere near the initial cost, better motion sensing and full BC to Wii.

They will use Wii software/devkits as a budget range to encourage smaller devs to get into the industry at a lower cost than what Sony/MS will be able to offer with their HD only offerings, and still be able to compete on the HD scene.

Put it this way, if Wii is dominating like PS1 did, WiiHD will pull a PS2 like destruction of the competition if they get it right, money certainly isn't a worry, at last count they had $10billion in CASH, let's just say that the global credit crisis isn't a talking point at their HQ.

I would like to see virtual reality glasses. That would be really awesome hehe, but probably too expensive.

Agh, they might convince me with better graphics and more mature games.

I still can't believe how it is possible to be stock problems in some countries. I never (apart from the first few months) seen any shortage in the UK, and none at all at any point were there shortages in Greece. Must be a USA thing? Just weird.

I have a Wii back in Greece, it's fun, but, well, boring to me. Perhaps if the increase the power of the machine to equal the other consoles, more developers would develop games that were not aimed at the too young, or too old, etc.

I do hope they keep the motion equipment though. Always fun to watch tv ads with women pretending to make mashed potato.

I believe that the only thing that Wii needs is higher resolution graphics.
We are in a year that most of us have the new High Definition TVs with 1080p in 32" and more. So Nintendo has to follow the world's digital visual improvements.
We like the low price of current Wii. We love it's controllers! We are pleased with it's entertaining titles. But we need something with less polygons. It would be terrific if we could play again Resident Evil in Wii with some breathtaking high definition textures!
In the end it would be a bit more expensive but every cent will worth it!

I would like the same or a bit more features in an improved version and especially a huge boost in graphics section.

I voted better graphics, because the Wii is behind other next-gen consoles. Other than that I think they could release some more 'hardcore' games, although I voted for graphics, as without better graphics, the whole gameplay experience would be alot worse compared to other next-gen consoles.

We have a Wii here and its a blast when you have a bunch of people together but the graphics could be better and hence my vote
