I vote for Halo Reach......The multiplayer of all Halo series is just Legendary. Its the best and the most intense sci-fi FPS I ever played.

Late to this thread but the first question I had was....

"Where is Mass Effect 2 in this list?"

Then, of course, a few of the ones mentioned got delayed into next year....or whenever.

But, Halo Reach, I did quite enjoy.

Mafia II I'll be playing again at some point.

But, the game I've been playing over and over is Alpha Protocol.

I would NOT, however, put that as the best game of the year over Mass Effect 2!

I've also put a lot of hours into Red Dead Redemption on the 360 since I got the console in July.

As for Star Craft II: I really, really wish I could get into these strategy games. It's so intriguing and seems to have a decent story. But, it doesn't actually come across to me as "entertainment" as much as it's a "chore" to keep up with what's going on all the time.

Then, of course, there's Star Trek Online. While many had predicted a short lifespan for the series, it seems to actually be getting better and better. But, one does have to wonder just how far they can go with it and keep it lively. I've had the game since the Beta and bought the Lifetime Sub. The most recent upgrades have done wonders for the overall appearance and functions of the game.

Now...back to our regularly scheduled programming.....
