Rogue Warrior (PC) Review @ GH

Read The Review Here
_______________
Rogue Warrior was announced two years ago and Bethesda held an event in Las Vegas which I attended - war hero Richard Marcinko was there to detail the game development and to show an early level. The title showed a lot of promise, offering an almost Rainbow Six style experience which relied on tactics and teamwork as well introducing Demo Dick - the temperamental main character whose experiences formed the foundation of the game.

I wonder if they'll advertise the game as an award winner now. Come to think of it, "The winner of GamingHeaven WTF award" doesn't sound so bad.

Re: Rogue Warrior (PC) Review @ GH

Thanks for that , absolutely hilarious to read the review . I wonder how the developer feel when they give you a copy of the game to review and then find out the next days it got "WTF award" but they should have seen that coming and they better learn how to respect audience and not throwing a full priced crap in their plate.

Re: Rogue Warrior (PC) Review @ GH

incidentally if anyone wants to actually see just how bad the AI is in this game check out this video.

Worth pointing out that the guy has this on the HARDEST difficulty setting as well.

Re: Rogue Warrior (PC) Review @ GH

Oh, my... Thanks for the video, clanman, for once the reviewer didn't exaggerate one bit when he said that AI was non-existant (also, the game protagonist definitely suffers from the Tourette syndrome). I was surprised when those guys started firring, they seemed totally oblivious of the world around themselves.

The only thing that seemed more or less good were some of the character animations, the rest, even the things that were borrowed from other games (such as the cover system which the reviewer has mentioned, or the third person view hand to hand kills which reminded me of Chronicles of Riddick) sucked here.

Good thing it lasted only two hours, any longer and GH would probably have to send poor Mr Erikson to a nice and quiet spa for recovery.

Giving this game as a gift....might not be the best idea unless you hate the person receiving it.

This is why I love DH. Where else do you get an award like the WTF award?

Good thing I read this. I was tempted to ask for it for Christmas despite what we had initially thought in an earlier thread.

I was reading about Demo dick's REAL life adventures and I'm sorry I'd have a lawyer personally make sure they revoke the liscense or whatever to his name cuz this game is an absolutely disgusting tribute to someone who if he really was rogue could have launched nukes on his own.

Yup... that was actually the point... anyway I was looking at Steam
and I was thinking... "what the hell maybe I should try it.. I mean... it won
the WTF AWARD and I don't think it will cost more than $30 USD..."

Rogue Warrior ----> $49.99 USD

Fail.
