The Creative Assembly have been producing historically accurate Real Time based War games for many years now and they have gathered a huge following. We were shown some of the upcoming Napoleon: Total War game in a recent press event and it is shaping up to be possibly the best game in the franchise to date.

Any idea if the changes will transfer to the main game if you buy this? There are some very nice new things in it, most of all for me would be the (at least as an option) to change the turn period to 2 weeks.
I had no interest in the game till I read this preview. It looks good.

yeah its standalone, the engine and AI are completely new. it does sound like an 'addon' I guess, but im also pretty excited about this. I had a lot of fun with Empire: Total War.

Looks nice and the trailer is EPIC! wonder if you actually see Napoleon ingame at any time and how tall they made him look
