UDA info?

Hey guys, I am new to the 10K2 chips..I just bought this A2..what I don't understand because I Never had it before is the UDA..I understand that it's another input but from where? Can Somebody explain how one would use it?

get the new profx pack
load up the ADC
click the "UDA" button beneath the line in slider

and use the UDA outputs from the ADC, and you're done

That much I know, What I mean is where is it routed from? Like the ADC routes the LINE_IN and the Mic_in..but where does the UDA come from? can you elaborate a bit? is it a secondary routing for the line_in?

yeah, pretty much it's a second routing from the line in, activating the UDA codec diverts the input from the AC97 codec to the UDA chip

to elaborate on my previous post, i *think* the line input still uses the ac97 analogue gain structure (messy) but is covnerted to digital in the UDA codec, which is a better quality chip overall
