How could be possible !(Front Out with Cleared DSP)
Hi to All
Recently I was testing the SB! Live outputs with speakerphones , trying to note by ear , how different those outputs are. I have a Nord Electro Keyboard connected to the line-in through a mackie mixer. I cleared the DSP window (What I Thought means, NO SOUND, no signals transit) The funny thing is That I could still perfectly hear my keyboard s trough the speakerphones connected to the Front Output ?? Is this due to a phisical conection, or I´m allucinating BONUS QUESTION : Do You think if there´s some significant difference if I record the Keyboard directly to ASIO, Through ADC, or passing through a MX6 ?. I Always have some problemes with the relative gains of different rec sources I use. Sorry for some english glitches. Sergio |

There is transparent microcode with a very basic DSP routing until the kX mixer is loaded with a DSP preset - that's why you hear the startup sound, even before kX has loaded

On SB Live there is analog connection between line-in and line-out through AC97 mixer. It will work without DSP. I think you can use AC97 panel in kX mixer to control this connection.

Also - Audigy w/ P16V - playing out WAVE HQ AND 24/96 router has 'P16V -> I2S' connection enabled - you will hear the P16V > I2S (24/96 playback).
