newbee needs some help

Hi,
i need some help setting up kx audio drivers plz. I use newest beta 3538j with a creative soundblaster 5.1 platinum...and I hear: nothing

Before installing driver current hardware setup works fine.
ok some more informations:
i connect to my amplifier via optical out from "Live! Drive IR"
no analog connections to the marantz
formerly, using windows native driver, when I start Windows a "PCM"-Sign appears at the fontpanel of the Marantz, but now there's no such singn - so I think the Optical-Out is disabled

I tried many combinations in kx mixer (without restart of OS I must say)
ahhh, and I use Foobar0.9rc and Winamp5.2 as default players. Both set up with: direct sound out + use primary sound device
