Problem installing Audigy 2 ZS Notebook
Hello!
I have a problem installing kx drivers for my „Audigy 2 ZS Notebook – PCMCIA“ on my Thinkpad. I use WinXp Prof. SP2. I downloaded the full driver version (kxdrv3537-full.exe) from your page. First I want to say, before I never used the Soundcard on this Notebook before, so never had the Creative drivers on it. To visualize my problem, please visit the link below, I will use the content in the following! http://kb.kxproject.lugosoft.com/guide/softinst.html What I did: I just followed the instruction, presses the “Install” Button. The first message box “kx Setup will now install new drivers for your soundcard....” apears correctly, so I pressed OK. After this my failure appears. Setup jumps over the next four message boxes shown in the article above, they does not appear! - “Do you wish to install kx Drivers..... ” - “The software you are installing for .... kx 10k1 Audio...” - “Do you wish to....” - “The software you are installing for ... Game Port...” The next msg box I see correct is “...VST Plugin...”. After reboot kx mixer does not start up, and the soundcard shows a failure “Unknown Audio device” in the Device Manager. Trying to Update Drivers manually failed either. I checked the debuglibs (MFC42D.DLL and MSVCRTD.DLL), the are in system32. For manuall installation I could not find the *.rar file I read about, but I think it has the same content as the *.exe setup file in the install folder. So, does anyone of you have an idea to solve this problem? Looking forward for some answers, Florian Gasser Last edited by W00dSt0ckz; Mar 16, 2006 at 01:55 PM. |

3538 doesnt work either
Hi!
I tried it with the new drivers, but it does not work. After reboot a message "Initializing Soundcard failed...try to install again" appears. I have chosen the driver for Modell SB0530, so I think thats right. I can see the soundcard in Device Manager, but with the "yellow (!)" --> "Device can not be started". Tried to install the drivers manually, did not help. Any ideas for this? Thanks, Florian Gasser |

Hi again, I have solved my problem! But its really strange!!!
It is not possible to start Windows with the PCMCIA card inside --> "Device can not be started" But, when I start without the card, and put it in when Windows finished booting, it works without any problems!!! So is this a known bug??? What could it be?? So, my beer is waiting for me, Flo |
