LIVE/AUDIGY outputs VS TERRATEC outputs

Hi, I read many pages and I tried the KX driver for my SB Live. It works well and I use it ONLY to split music with crossover DSP.

I know that SB Live REAR analog output is better than FRONT analog output but I don't know if it's good enough to reach te Terratec space 5.1/7.1 quality.

I have a Terratec aureon space too and I find the live rear output a little bright.

What is the better way to play high quality files with winamp and foobar, using 2 OUTPUTS?

1) Using digital SB Live output to an external DAC (I don't know if it's possible and how much it costs).
2) Using my Terratec aureon space.
3) Using SB Live\audigy DIGITAL OUT to Terratec aureon DIGITAL IN and then go out using ANALOG Terratec outputs (I don't if it's possible :-P )

I dont want to use a terratec product anymore since I have some BAD experience with it (my opinion) so you should better use the Live! rear for a high quality output. The term "too bright" means to me that the Terratec kills some hights and make the sound bumpy - for comparison you can use the RightMark audio analyser for free (rmaa-tool) to find out more about the quality of your different soundcards, and then deceide for yourself.
