SB live only to 15khz? also with rear output? + mic in question

Hi guys,

I would say most 'high quality sound card' stuff is a bit overrated, but I did find a review of the sblive which specced it only up to 15khz.. Now I wonder if the specs for the rear output (as used by default with the superb Kx drivers, have a better frequency range? There isn't *that* much audible stuff above 15khz in most music but I can still hear above 15khz for a few years..

I'm also looking at using Foobars Convolver with a good test mic to make an 'image' of my room response and correct it, thats really exciting stuff.. So I suppose the next question is how good or bad is the microphone input on a SBlive? My speakers have a bit of a bulge at just over 30hz so it would be nice if the mic in and rear out are at least flat to 30hz so most the stuff can be flattened properly. I'm quite sure my tweeters (semi hq homebuild) are 100% flat between 15 and 20khz so perhaps that area is less important..

Ciao!
Niels

Is that really true? Not that I'm an audiophile, I'm usually not to picky about the sound, but I can hear a noticeable difference between a SbLive and an Audigy using headphones, specially on higher frequencies, wich seem to have some artifacts when fading out in the SbLive cards...
