Tell me it isn't my sound card

I have an Audigy 2 ZS Gamer and Klipsch 4.1 speakers (discontinued now). Anyway, I re-installed Windows, put KX drivers on it, tweaked the Equalizer a little bit, and jammed for a few hours. Now comes the sad part - I changed songs and it just plays this god awful ringing sound through all of my speakers. I change songs and I hear no audio. I restart, it plays fine a little bit, then does it again when I fast forward in a song. It hasn't done it when it's just playing without my intervention, but I'm really worried as I love music but can't afford a fuckin' sound card right now. PLEASE someone tell me it's a just a setting error or something. Has anyone experienced this before? Let me know if you need more information. Thanks in advance guys.

Whats the card model (seen at the bottom right corner in most KX applets- should look like 'SB0350'??
What version of KX - I would recommend 3538J for A2's. as P16V support was improved.

what player are you using (SRC plugins? - are you using default KX DSP config?
DirectSound / ASIO / WaveOut..??
What output device are you using? (Wave 0/1 or Wave HQ)
Are the speakers analog or digital?
