stereo recording in logic
hi everybody
i'm trying to make a record in stereo under logic. but i'm only getting a mono signal on the channel "input 1" i've tryed to select other prolog and epilog channels but it never worked. what can i do to change my input sources under logic? (perhaps it's just the input source under LOGIC, and not the prolog and epilog in the KX DSP) lots of thanks mauchi

I only got it working right when I connected prolog's 0 and 1 to ASIO 15-16 and chose ASIO 0 and 1 in logic. Weird but worked...

Use the ASIO driver and disable the EASI MME driver.
You should also change each channels properties so that it uses the kX ASIO driver. You can do this in the global mixer window (located on window 9). You should also make sure that the track is a stereo track. Click on the 'circle' icon on the mixer strip for the channel you wish to change to stereo. The icon should change to 2 circles (stereo) and the meter should be devided in 2. HTH Soeren |

that with the circle is clear. but where can i change the ASIO driver and disable the EASI MME driver?
perhaps i've already made this settings...? i've got all the drivers disable in the logic audio konfiguration (hardware and drivers) there are two shells: on the first i've got nothing activ. in the second i've just activated the kx asio driver. thanks for your help....mauchi |

hi
so, i tryed a lot and can't change the input chanel. i desabled the easi mme driver in the hardware and driver shell 1 activated the asio kx driver on the shell 2 then i went into the window "9" i chosed record. and well it worked. but just in mono. cause i've activated just input 1 so next step i made the track stereo. and now i've got on track one : input 1+2. But on 2 is no signal. and the fuck is, that i can't take another input source, cause there are no others. when i try to change the inputs in the window "9" i became only the 1 and 2. and the same problem under the audio konfiguration |

Asio Inputs and Logic audio Platinum......
On my system,
on the asio recording inputs of Eplog, While in Logic Audio, 0/1 and 2/3 do not work correctly- there is only signal on 0 and 3. Is this consensus? If this is the case, it creates more overhead for Logic cause one must enable 6 ins/outs in logic to access 4/5 in/out to get accurate inputs. It would be better to only have to enable 2 or 4 io's. Possible ? Below are my Notes for Setting up Logic with KX. Any suggestions are appreciated. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Logic Audio Platinum Settings for KX - Under Options/Preferences/AudioPreferences/Audio Driver 2/ Max. I/O Streams IN: 6 / 6 This sets up 3 pairs of Inputs and Outputs in Logic - 1-2 3-4 5-6 Audio Tracks that you want to hear but dont want to record go to Outputs 3-4 Outputs 1-2 are for the Routing of Logic's SoftSynths onto an audio track Inputs/Outputs 5-6 are the Main Inputs into Logic from KX, and correspond to asio 4-5 on the epilog. 0/1 and 2/3 exhibit problems with kx. Only 0 and 3 want to become active. |
