Very Strange "Control Panel" Problem

Hi,

After installing the latest KX Project drivers (the standard creative drivers started to clip for no real reason), I no longer have a volume control in my taskbar regardless of what I select in "Sounds and Audio Devices". I can also make no changes to the selected devices in this menu either, it simply reverts back to what you see in the picture when I close the menu. The last problem is that my volume control on my keyboard no longer does anything. I'm sure all these problems are related.

I have reinstalled KX drivers and the original creative drivers, neither fixed the problem.

Creative Audigy2 ZS, Windows XP

Tony

You may want to take a look at the following thread (and try the same solution) as you seem to be having the same (or very similair) problem: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/bug-reports/10862-no-midi-device-selected-3529-default.html

Yup, worked first time. I wish I knew what registry setting it was changing...

Yeah, that would be a good thing to find out (so that it can be done without the need of installing the codec pack). I will see if I can figure it out when I have a chance. In any case, I am glad it worked for you.
