Only Mono-Output on Channel 8/9 SB0530
Hello,
I am using a Creative Audigy2 ZS Notebook (SB0530) together with BPM-Studio 4.9 and kx-drivers 3538k. I would like to use the three different independent stereo-channels of the card. Speaker-Setup in kx is (as described in the guideline): Mode: 5.1, Surround: off, Use Subwoofer: off Bpm-Studio: Direct Sound-Driver kX Wave SBS0530 ZS NB (bec0) 4/5 kX Wave SBS0530 ZS NB (bec0) 6/7 kX Wave SBS0530 ZS NB (bec0) 8/9 4/5 and 6/7 work fine, but 8/9 is always only in "mono" mode, I mean output happens only on one side. Is there a solution to bring 8/9 also to stereo-mode? If I select Asio-Driver or WaveOut-Driver, the output on this cable is in stereo, but all channels are played togehter and are not separated. So Direct Sound seems to be the only way to have 3 seperate stereo channels or is it also possible with ASIO? Thanks, Max Last edited by MaxSound; Sep 9, 2006 at 11:10 AM. Reason: writing mistake |

in the DSP connect fxbus 8/9 directly to the center/lfe outputs, bypassing the xrouting + surrounder

"Use Subwoofer Output" should be enabled/checked. When "Bass Redirection" is not enabled, that output is basically just a passthru from FxBus 9.
See the '5.1 Direct Path' preset in Surrounder. (and of course, doing what dj_stick said will work too) |

Thanks a lot to both of you!
I tried the easier option first and enabled "subwoofer" and it worked, so I wont need the solution with the DSP (I´m sure this will work too but the re-configuration will be to heavy for me). Maybe this point should be corrected in the "how to" in the knowledgebase. Best regards, Max |
