Im a noob - I've given my best try setting up KX - but no luck
hi
im trying to set up KX but I get no sound... My peakmeter is responding to sound on the wave-channel - but like I said I dont hear anything... I dunno what A1/A2 - A3/A4 or 01 - 02 is... In the router window - under wave - I see Wave 0/1 /whih I think is the cahnnel I need to fiddle with) - and when wave 0/1 is choosen I see 8 lines to the right of that - 6 of them has sliders - 2 of them dont... Im guessing that I've given u guys some useful info here but im not really sure... I've read quite a few tutorials and such - but I still dont get it... Im currently using an EMU 1820M soundcard - im not entirely sure this card is supposed to work with KX but a moderator at a forum said he had seen ppl with the 1820M use KX.. plz help me out here if u can

err none of the recent E-MU cards are supported by kX - that's why it's not working

... thx for ur concern heh

Since you say your peak meter is showing a signal, using the default kX DSP setuP (rightclick in the kX DSP window and select "reinitaialize DSP" if you don't have the default DSP setup), then having your speakers connected to the front speakers connector for the sound card, make sure that the "toggle front rear speaker selection" is unchecked on the main kX Mixer page?
Just pointing this out in case you overlooked something as simple as this.

thx for the reply thomas... I've currently uninstlled the KX drivers again - so I cant check out the stuff u mention just now but I will next time I install the KXdrivers... My soundcard doesnt have "front-speaker-connector" - it just has 6 inputs and 6 outputs (3 pairs of jacks) and some phono inputs... Im using the OUT1 left and right atm - and I didnt get any sound with KX - but it shouldnt matter what outputs im using -cause the headphone output doesnt give any sound either - and it should, if there was sound to be heard.
I didnt know that there was a KX-DSP default setup - but I do now - the whole rigging of inouts and outputs was what made me think that I hadnt set up KX correctly in the 1. place - so thx thomas
