Live Vs audigy convertors ? platinum
i wonder ,never asked that:
Are Conversors /connectors of audigy better of audigy 1/2 live ones? (speaking about platinum drives mos). Any difference between LIVe/A1 /A2 speaking about HARDWARE quality connectors i mean (noise /signal and so on?), and above all ,on the connectors comparison of livedrive vs/ audigypanel (if any?).

Conversors of the live are miles away from the audigy ones. Behind, of course.

uhm..more specific , please?
The only comparison i heard was about more resources (some more plugins)possible to load on the audigy, but nobody issued about in terms of sound for conversors. My concern, For example , would be A mic2/line2 less noisy (mine is A LOT). But spdif should be the same , so just saying "Its miles better" does'nt mean anything at that point. Ok ,audigy being capable of 96khz,but not fully implementd with kx so i don care. And anyway i don think it is related to conversors ,and jacks to be more precise. the point is 44/48 ,and noise/signal ratio. _______ ANd i hate that (but is another story):if i not pull the switch on of the MIc2_preamplifier(gain) on ,i hear Just sound from the left side .if i switch on i hear both sides.

ok when the gain knob is all the way off on the line2/mic, then it's set up as a stereo line in, if it's turned up, it's converted into a mono mic input, so you'll only get one channel out of it
as for the internal converters on the card, there would be a slight difference imo, but not too much of one

hey thanks dj.
What values i have to search for the specs of connectors on technical pages(i'm scrolling the web). i wonder if I bought an a2 platinum used , (still searching 1 at a resonable price here on my land). _______Little OT____ And think,i have a "pulsar creamware",and i don use it as is just hassle and issues Sp is not "elastic",and not configurable as kx,where you meet all your needs (by Dsp). Those bastards never upgraded drivers.. edit:they did update ,but they want charge 200 bucks more just for nre drivers. They 'll never get from me. Pulsar its a card thought not for Home_rec-,but to be connected on a large daw.

Yes, the mic line in the audigy is less noisy. The Audigy has a higher SNR than the live.
Yes, I can note the difference in my hi-fi between my audigy and my live. Specially on sounds with lots of reverb and high pitched notes. The Live! card has more digital artifacts. But hey, I use samples in wav format and shit like that. Honestly, I think that those who hear some mp3's and play a few games won't note any diference. I hope this helps... it's all that I know...
