Kxmixer ram usage raised beyond 30Mb,a2?

HI guys.
Just installed my new audigy 2 platinum sb0240

I had problems which io solved by uninstalling reinstalling.
But i ve noticed (by task manager) th KXmixer now takes up to 32Mb of RAM.
DIrectly on WIndows BOOT

With Live 5.1 it was 4mb of ram only!

If i use a Ram Manager (cacheman XP) ," kxmixer.exe" process lower ram usage on 4_5mb.

How i could solve?.
I installed a new antivirus and a new firewall too ,trial versions (karspersky AV and outpost FW),dunno but i don think is related.
I 'diving though the various settings(adding kxmicer to "trusted applications and so on ,to be sure)

also if reset "global settings",ram usage goes about 38mb.very high and dunno why it happen ..
something with the GUI maybe?default skin,
and just 3 profx +mixer+kx2lt+asio panel.

To regain ram i must FORcE kxmixer to release it,quite not the deal as it lower to 400k the usage, and short after to the regular 4mb,taking time to set that evry time.also cacheman crashes after i do that.

A little Ot :
fancy thing.
i have the same Problem of ram usage with outpost firewall (i ve found is a bug of outpost in that case, should be solved but maybe is not):
well ,If i Open/close kxmixer nothing happen, but if i open /close Outpost window the memory usage drops down.

I wonder what causes it,its like something not needed stay resident in memory .
anyway i'm going to test disabling some features logo for example
I wonder What it is

SO solution would be NOT to enable kxmixer at startup maybe?
34mb is not easily acceptable from me.
that happen even cosing /reloading kxmixer.exe.
Hope it will get fixed as i consider a main concern, the resources loaded unnecessarily 8i can live with that for now)

!_
I remeber there is also a special tray appz made by someoone ,to load just dsp at startup.
I use mainly******* edited: Dsp icon works only when kxmixer is enabled.so useless for that porpouse.

I want to say, that you should not fool yourself with opening/closing or using useless utilities. It's incorrect. Add a 'VM size' parameter in Taskmanager and you'll see more accurate representation of memory consumption by processes. It will not shrink from opening/closing/trimming. It is real.

i don get exactly what you say.
With every utilty i've checked i ve noticed Kx EATS memory.
My concern is to avoid it ,not to monitor.

The only way to avoid it, is to quit kxmixer when you do not need it to be running, or go back to an older version of kX.

But thats 'Virtual Memory' - aka - swap file - right? - and the default is RAM?
Id rather have a bigger swap file - and less RAM used.

But yes - VM doesn't change from minimizing - which is what happened when closing the mixer with out 'quit'(ting) it - or thats what I was thinking anyway.

I may switch back to K anyways as I found L to be very flaky in Sonar when recording / adding VST's - particularly with soft synths.
The performance gained seems to be at the cost of reliability.
(I need to - add a VST, save project - exit sonar and restart to get most of them to work - otherwise I hear massive skipping that sounds like oscillation - or no sound at all)

Maddog i don have that behaviour with sonar.
I don use so many synth but vsti for guitar sounds
only thing i've noticed:
CA'nt acess kx asio Panel directly when a program is opened (guitar rig ,amplitube or whatever, but you CAN ACCESS through theprograms) and all the modes except default eats hugely the cpu.
