New sound card

Im considering buying a new sound card to use with the kx mixer. I have an audigy 2ZS and SB Live. What is the best card for music listening as far as quality is conserned...

well atm the A2ZS is the best (other than the audigy 4, which is only very slightly better) unless you want to fork out for the a2 ZS platinum pro or audigy 4 pro (external DAC)

Thanks, my audigy sounds unreal and its had to beleive it could be improved upon

oh there are cards that sound better, but kX will not work on those

not to hijack, but any thoughts on the x meridian 7.1? i have one on the way

yeah but ,i purchased an a2 as here i was told is the most compatible one with Kx ,even more compatible than a2 zs.
if you want jsut listen music you are allright ,if You want to make some musuc a2 should be the best choice (at least that is what i got from a long thread a while ago,started by me)
