Application Error on Cubase SX - a kX or Steinberg problem?

*********************************************
PROBLEM SOLVED, but if you are interressted, read on...

Error was:
With help from Visual Studio Debugger I found the error to be a bug in the Tranceformer.dll insert effect in Cubase SX.
Solution:
Don't use the insert...

Ergo:
It was NOT a kX ASIO fault.
*********************************************

Hi!

I am experiencing problems with Cubase SX. More precisely the following error message:

"Cubasesx.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0xmmmmmmmm" referenced memory at "0xnnnnnnnn". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program"

I am using the latest kX drivers and my question is:
Is this a kX ASIO problem, or is it within Cubase SX? Is there anyone else who has experienced this error?

I think that I have read something about this in this forum, but I can't find it... Perhaps it's my imagination?

mmmmmmmm, nnnnnnnn seems to be some random memory address since it differs widly from time to time...

This error is reproducable. Just click "Play", "Stop", ... a couple of times, and boom!

Windows 2000 sp3, dx9, AMD Athlon 1800+, EMU APS, 500MB RAM.

Degraded to build 3520. Now Cubase SX just quits instead of failing with "Application Error". Perhaps this is a kX problem after all?

Restart of Cubase SX works fine after fail oposite to when the error message appears.

I am going to investigate this further...

Ah, no... Same error as with build 3530... No sound when it appears... Perhaps it is Cubase SX after all...

I am confused!
