sb0060 sb live!5.1 digital
i have a creative sb live!5.1 digital (writed in golden letter) card based emu10k1-edf, is it compatable with kx drivers?i tried to install kx driver in win me and win xp... it saying there id not supported cards in ur system.
my card is working still with windows drives.. pls give me a solution... with pray and regards iqu |

Yes, that card is supported.
kX Soundblaster Compatibility List Make sure that Windows detects the card (choose cancel when prompted for a driver) before installing kX. |

i tried....
i tried to manualy install driver in xp sp2 , but it saying "the specified location does not contain information about your hardware"
i tried both kx 3537 and kx3538l ,result same.. the card work with windows default driver. pls what to do ..... my card model here again... model sb0060 sound blaster live!5.1 digital (writed in golden letter) wit regards and pray... iqu |

sorry to late replay, i was not here in my home. actually one of my friend gave me it. it was orginal ithink the serial no:m1sb0066841029071j made in Malaysia the card detect as a creative default driver (creative audio pci(es 1371,es1373(wdm) ) and its work well with that driver too.. but i can't update driver to kx any way... .. i don't know what to do... with pray iqu |

One of 2 things is happening here:
1. Windows has incorrectly identified your card as ES1371 / 1373 chipset. 2. It is a fake SBLive as Russ said above. I would suggest A. Go into Control panel and remove the drivers for the card there. B. Run Driver Cleaner C. If installing in Win ME, install version 3534f from TravelRec's site: http://www.electricstart.de/index.htm Click on "kX drivers" link D. If installing in XP use 3538l |

It sounds like it is probably a fake, based on the ES1373 chip. Examine the chip that says EMU10k1 on it, to try and determine if it is a real EMU10k1 chip. An EMU10k1 chip is square, and an ES1373 chip is rectangular.
