I've got 3 SBLives installed (all using kxAudio drivers of course), also with the onboard nVidia nForce 2 sound enabled, I'm able to record 8 discrete tracks at the same time, good quality, good levels all that. But it's the time syncing that's not going so well. The nVidia recording is synced properly, but the 6 SBLive inputs slowly get more and more outta sync.
I'm using Sonar Producer Edition 6, when I set it to ASIO drivers it says it cannot open the recording device (assuming this may aid in solving this problem). Any additional ideas with respect to either problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Change the default sample rate and bit depth to 48Khz/16Bit

To fix this...
Quote:
And ASIO should improve latency - does SOnar 6 now support multiple ASIO cards at one time?? - it doesnt in sonar 5. Cubase SX3 does support multiple ASIO soundcards. |

Thanks. I'm 75% sure it does support multi ASIO cards, I'll test it out tomorrow during the day and get back with what happens.

I just checked - you can use only one ASIO device at a time in Sonar 6.

Shit...
So is there any way to rectify this timing issue outside of ASIO mode? |

The latency difference is what I suspect you are noticing.. You could try adjusting the buffer sizes to compensate - ?? - but that may not work - as I never tried to accomplish this... I suggest trying cubase OR use the other cards a sort of 'submixes' into the 1 ASIO one enabled in sonar - this way you still can use the other cards inputs & A/D convertors - but will take come 'connections' between the 'slave' or submix cards into the 'master' or enabled card - via SPDIF... I would suggest cubase if you can afford it... competitive upgrades are not too bad of a deal. |
