i am running an Audigy 2ZS with the kX driver. my issue is that i recently purchased an Audigy 2 drive bay (NOT a 2ZS one though). i was told it would be compatible, which in theory i see no reason why it shouldnt, but creative themselves offer no support and say that sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. due to the fact i am running the kX driver though i cant test the bay out using the proper creative driver, which may allow it to work, but im not sure either way.
my questions are... 1. does the 2ZS drive bay even work with the kX drivers? or do they just stop any drive bays from working? and if it does work is there anything you have to do to "install" it, or does it just know straight away what its meant to do once its attached to the soundcard? 2. has anyone else ever managed to get an Audigy 2 drive bay working on a 2ZS with the kX driver? any help on those 2 issues would be greatly appreciated, im pulling my hair out now, and also wondering whether the drive bay isnt just faulty. i have no way of testing it because its not like i have an Audigy 2 handy to try it out on lol thanks JIM |

problem solved! turns out the power connector i had on it had one of its pins pushed out slightly. pushed it back in and now its working lol
i only figured that out though by reading some other threads on here and finding out that if the unit has power the red light should be on in the optical out, which it wasnt. checked my connections and noticed it so i guess cheers for the forums help anyway lol. im sure il be back with more questions later!!
