kx saved my Soundcard!

since my onboard Audio sucks (Asus P5B with SoundMax crap where StereoMix recording is broken!) I decided to plug in an ancient Audigy card that I got years ago from a friend and never tried out.

It was a real pain in the ass to find drivers since Creative doesn't like to support their own customers. You only find updates on their homepage which require drivers already installed which come only on a CD (that most people don'T have for various reasons).

finally I found a driver that installed (AUD_EAX4DRV_031031.exe) but my speakers stayed quiet anyway. So I installed the newest update (SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_0016.exe) with the same result: no Audio from the speakers. I tried some other updates, and plugged the speakers to all outputs on the card. Nothing to be heard...

Well, so I thought the card may be broken (that's why the guy gave it to me for free), but I still tried the last option before removing the card again: installing kx. and IT WORKED!!!!

So thanks a lot guys for that great work and the drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You saved me!
