Vista and SBLive 0100 - Microphone problems

Just installed Vista Business edition and my microphone didnt work with my SBLive SB0100. So I came and DL'd the latest KX and even though it seemed to install without a hitch, my microphone dosent even appear in the recording properties panel now.

Is there a fix for this or do I need to go out and get an Audigy?

I presume your using windows mixer - I don't think you can... instead use KX Mixer - and adjust the AC97 page (AC97 source drop down - either 'Mic' or one of the 'mix' ones) - the mic level and mute status (and possibly the +20db boost??) - then adjust the 'recording page' - and adjust the 'AC97 record' level...and make sure 'Master Recording' level is up too.

Now, if you tried that - Im lost - as I don't use vista.
