Hi!
I've installed new kX 3538m (previously kX 3538j) drivers for my Audigy SB0230. Now I have delays when recording (and hearing) sound from mic-in or line-in. It is very annoying when recording from tv tuner. Strange... - in the system's mixer rec dialog there is only "wave in" volume control for choice. I also noticed, when moving slider of Master Rec Level it also moves Wave In slider accordingly. Please, see the pic: http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/448/mixertd8.png How to get rid of these delays?

I am not sure why the slider name was changed in the Windows Mixer, but as you can see, it controls the Master Recording Level.
As for the delays, I can only guess since you did not include any info about your setup, but, my guess is that you are recording using MME, and are monitoring the signal post-recording (from you recording software), in which case delays should be expected. You should either record using ASIO, or monitor the pre-recorded signal in hardware (either through the AC97 Mixer (sliders at the bottom of the the 'AC97' page of kxmixer) or the DSP ('AC97 In' slider on the 'Ins and Outs' page of kxmixer (when using the default DSP config))). |
