48Khz/24-bit wdm input with FXbusX and I2S codec
Hi! I've been reading some threads regarding 24-bit, I2S codec and FxBusX.
I read that: - I2S signal path to the DSP is 24-bit. - FxBusX can output 24-bit streams. So i just have a little question: Is it possible to record (with wdm)@48Khz/24-bit by routing AC97 2->fxBusX->Record(L/R)? |

looks like you've lost a bit:
FxBus and FxBusX are inputs from 'software' and not from physical inputs. Physical inputs are represented with 'prolog' and are 24-bit by default on A2 (for those inputs that are capable of 24 bit stuff of course). The bottleneck in the setup is 'Record(L/R)' path to 'software' which is always 16 bit. So if you are about 24 bit recording then your only way is 'Wave HQ'. |
