Audigy 2 ZS Notebook Hibernation Issues

I have been having the same issue with hibernation for quite some time, regardless of the drivers I use (Creative or KX). Upon resuming from hibernation, my sound is very crackly and distorted, almost 'electronic sounding'. Depending on the version of Creative drivers I used, the crackling would either: 1) occur for just the first few seconds of music or any other sound (like some buffer was being cleared) and then sound ok, or 2) it would occur continuously after hibernation. With the KX drivers, I am experiencing the same problem. Upon resuming from hibernation, I get no music playback. If I stop the song and select an new song, I get the same audio distortion issue. I am using the mixer right now with all default settings. Any help would be greatly appreciate, as this is for a CarPC project and the laptop is much faster coming out of hibernation than a reboot.

P.S. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone know what settings in KX would provide the closest sound to the Creative EAX->Advanced EQ->Classical option? I liked the way it made my music sound more 'alive.' Thanks.

I played around with the buffers a bit and got the pops and clicks to disappear after resuming from hibernation, but then I get no sound until I load up a new song or move the slider on the current one. Anyone help, please?
