Battlefield 1942 (v1.31) + KX 5.10.0.3531
I have an OEM Audigy 1 SB0090, Windows XP Pro SP1 and it's the first time I use the KX drivers !!!
I have 2 questions : 1) Why in the peripherals list I have : kX 10k2 Audio - Model SB0092 (It's the wrong model !) 2) Why in Battlefield 1942 (v1.31) I can not check the "Hardware Acceleration" (Before I could check it !) Thanks for your help. Report on Battlefield 1942 (v1.31) : I still have sound bugs !!! |

1). >It's the wrong model ! - No, man, your model IS SB0092
![]() 2). >I can not check the "Hardware Acceleration" - there's no hardware acceleration of DirectSound3D in kX....

I cannot make Battlefield to use surround sound - it gives me simple stereo signal on both front and rear speakers (the same signal on both pairs). Did anyone have success in using positional sound in BF with kx drivers?
I have SB live 5.1 and in kx mixer (and also in the surrounder plugin) I have set up 4 speakers with surround on. Other games do not have positional audio too... |

Thanks for your help but I let those drivers (I don't like the interface graphics who seems to be developped for Linux)
I reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP1 and installed "Modified_Audigy2-Drivers_for_Audigy1.Fir3fly.rar" that you can find on Edonkey ! It seems works fine ! No more Crappy Sounds in Battlefiel 1942 1.31
