I'm not really looking for full compatibility or hardcore music production. My use is mostly to listen to music and the Realtek system is driving me nuts with the annoying buzzing sounds when the hd is accessed it also sounds like shit.
I was thinking about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102007 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102012 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102002 any thoughts? Currently I have Soundblaster Live! OEM and it didn't work with any version of KX beta drivers. |

I'm thinking none of them cards are kX compatible either...
But about the realtek - did you try changing what IRQ (in BIOS) it uses - Im thinking its sharing an IRQ and causing you problems... ?? Updated drivers? - etc... For a kX compatible card - find a used Audigy A2ZS. Or look here for a list of compatible cards. Note the Audigy SE - in the 'not compatible' section at the bottom of the list - as well as the 'X-Fi'. |
