Audigy 2 ZS notebook 7.1 output?
I'm trying to get 7.1 output from my A2zsnb, but I can't figure out how to get the side channel outputs. I have the 4 connector plugs to get the extra 2 channels, and it works fine on my regular A2ZS in my desktop giving me all 8 channels.
On epilog I output to I2S 2 L/R out 30/31 to get side channels on my desktop A2ZS and that works, but doing the same on the notebook card gives me nothing. ![]() *confused o: |

Just tried the Creative drivers and the side channels work, but still nothing with KX.
I saw that the notebook version is only partially supported, would this be one of the reasons? I'd apreciate any info anyone has. |

Now I'm really confused. If I connect to epiloglt_k2 and use spdif0 to spdif3 I get all 8 analog channels like I want, but using i2s0 - i2s2 I get nothing. However using epiloglt_k2 on my desktop Audigy 2 ZS all the outputs work as labled. Could the outputs be programed wrong for the notebook version?
I would just use epiloglt_k2, but the master volume control doesn't work with it. Also when I load saved setings epiloglt_k2 is dissconected from everything making me manualy reconnect everything which defeats the point of saving it.

Yes, it is a known issue that the outputs are not mapped correctly with the A2ZSNB.
See the 3538m released thread. I am not sure that anyone posted the mapping for the side channels on that, so if you figure out the mapping for all the channels, maybe post the info in that thread (or the a2zsnb bug thread) so that it can be corrected in the next release. |

Re: Audigy 2 ZS notebook 7.1 output?
I got exately the same experience as CRFX and I have tried for almosst every possible DSP configuration in order to get those two missing side outputs from the A2ZSNB Card. As far as I have been able to manage, the only solution (still) seems to be using epiloglt_k2. But it also still does not remember the connections after power reset.
I have been away from this fine forum - which by the way have provided exelent help to my various problems - for some time and I have tried searching for hints. but so far without any luck. So the question goes: Is there any workaround for getting all 8 signal outputs from an Audigy 2 ZS Noebook Card |

Re: Audigy 2 ZS notebook 7.1 output?
I have had no success even with epiloglt_k2. I'm a musician and am using a multi track recording app. What I have found is that whatever track I assign to wav out 4,5 goes directly to the side outs. I'm not able to add any effects to the DSP for this pair. Even if I clear the DSP wav out 4,5 STILL go to the side outs.

Ответ: Audigy 2 ZS notebook 7.1 output?
unfortunately, I no longer own the card
if anyone manages to figure out the changes required in the epilog code, I will make them (this should be quite easy: get the epilog DSP microcode, check epiloglt_k2 outputs and let me know which number of KX_OUT() to choose and where to place it )E. |

Re: Audigy 2 ZS notebook 7.1 output?
Thanks Eugene,
I posted the code for Russ in the other thread. I don't know what to do with it but I presume he does. I have searched high & low for an answer Last edited by silvertones; Nov 8, 2010 at 01:08 PM. |
