Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit SPDIF

Hi everyone,

I've just met kX Project, and was looking for my card to be in the list. Altough I don't see the "Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit" anywhere, and that's the exact name for it, I may assume it's a pretty standard Live! ? (It does have the 24bit, and SNR of 100dB, so that should tell some of you which kind of Live!-version it is, as I've read that's the most important difference between a budget Live!, the normal ones and the Audigy)

Anyhow, let me get back to my story, the question that I have is:
A) Will the kX Project drivers/software work for my Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit card? (Assuming I use it on a clean WIndowsXP Professional)
B) And my alltime problem, why I'd rather have a ALC97 on-board chip: Will the software allow my card to output the signal through SPDIF AND analog???

Thanks in advance,

Unfortunately, if you look closely down at the bottom of this page, you will see that your card is unsupported:

I see.... So there's now way I'll ever be able to use the SPDIF and analog output at the same time?

Damnit, Creative never did work well for me.

I read on the issues/to-do pages, the following:

"SB020x cards (Dell OEM SB Live!) contain different EMU10k1 chips and they aren't supported at the moment."

Could I make a request, to also add the Live! 24-bit Creative cards to the list, since they aren't mentioned anywhere, nor why they would not be supported in the future?

Secondly, is it a driverissue or a hardware-related matter, that I could not have digital and analog output on my SB Live! (24bit) ?
