newbie--skins

It took me a while to relize I right click to get menus.

I am a light APS user, not a techie, and I find it confusing, but now at least i can make sounds. not sure if I can get the Midi sounds from my APS card, which I liked but cannot use suddenly after installing Windows 2000.

I just want to do basics, but the documentation seems overwheming. Is there some sort of lite instructions for lite users? Also, I can't see HOW to load skins?

Just want tobe able to listen to previously recorded stuff, use my cakewalk to play and record midi files as I use to, possibly adding a voice or two.

I guess it is possible, but the settings seem so hard.
