Strange problem, 3539
Hey guys, I've just installed the 3539 drivers on a new machine. There seems to be a problem where occasionally the sound will cut out and my machine will be unable to produce any sound for a while, after a while it normally starts working again. Any ideas?

Hmm, I do not know...
What OS? Does it do it right in the middle of playing something, or is it after you have been away from the computer for a bit (maybe a sleep/Power Management problem)? Make sure that the card is seated firmly in it's slot (maybe try a different slot). Make sure the wires, etc are not loose. Try to take notice of what other programs are running when the problem happens, and see if there is some common element that may be responsible, etc. |

Its Windows Xp. Sorry for the lack of detail, its quite an old computer. I think its a 2.5 Ghz Athlon, with an Audigy 1 Plat External. Some sort of geforce 5200 I think? It does it randomly, but so far it hasn't been during use. Only after I close something, or leave it for a bit, does it stop working. I don't hear any beeping at all.
EDIT: It just stopped during playing a song, and its beeping! I saw Euguene's post about enabling and disabling, will give that a try. Last edited by Zophixan; Aug 27, 2007 at 08:40 PM. |

This also happens to me, using the latest build 3539. Also now i seem to not get sound in any flash files in any of my browsers. Thinking of reverting to 3538 seeing that I cant use my MM keys on my keyboard and have this problem...im going to try to install flash again but I doubt that it'll help.

@elessar072
Try the fix from the following thread: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/bug-repo...9-default.html, (specifically, the .reg file info from this post), and see if that fixes the flash sound problem (while researching that issue, I noticed that another common symptom was no sound with flash).
