None of the present drivers allow to record from digital inputs with "bit-to-bit" precision... (although such ability is present in Audigy hardware)...

the 3532a and 3532b releases support this feature, however, it is documented only in our SDK (v3532 - not yet released) and cannot be used without special tweaks

if you wish to perform a bit-to-bit recording of your spdif-in signal (the only one choice currently available), do the following:
run from the command-line: kxctrl -shw 11 81
this will switch the recording to 'bit-to-bit'
now, start the recording via your audio application (note that only 16bit/48000/stereo format is supported)

after you finish with recording, don't forget to run 'kxctrl -shw 11 0' or 'kxctrl -shw 11 1', depending on whether you use 'ac-3 spdif decoding' feature

note that the b2b recording is supported for WinMM and DirectX, not ASIO...

/Eugene

p.s.
this interface might change in the final release of 3532 driver
