Wink Hey Eugene, I want more...

I install the kx driver 3532b. After searching a moment i saw the difference with the KX3531 in the ASIO panel (selector for the card which manage the ASIO).
It is good but not enought.
For the moment i am really disapointed of the KX driver concerning multiple sound cards. When i read the KX documentation it say that it can support as many card as there is PCI connector.
I was expecting to all the input add themselves and the same for the output.

I want a new KX driver in which all the prolog and all the epilog of each card would be active at the same time on the same screen and which could be wired internaly.

Hey Eugene, I know that Christmas is in 8 month but can I hope such a thing in a new version of KX ?
Is it technicaly possible?

Another question:
Isn't it technically possible to have the TADin, CDanalog in,MIC in, AUXin and LINEin in the prolog window, each independant and not trough the AC97?

first question:
no, it is impossible to route inputs & outputs from different cards in software
you can, however, connect them via spdif cables...

>>Isn't it technically possible to have the TADin, CDanalog in,MIC in, AUXin and LINEin in the prolog

no, all the inputs you mentioned are located on the AC-97 codec which mixes them automatically
this issue is a hardware 'feature' and cannot be solved

kindof

it seems to me that this is a question of inputs.... a card has only so many sdpif inputs.... in fact, unless you have a live drive, i don't know that you can connect more than 2 cards together, unless you chain them (which means mixing down your signal at each step in the chain) add a live drive, however and you get 2 more (independant) stereo analog inputs and one more digital.....so as i visualise it, 5 sound cards would still only give you 2 independant stereo channels......BUT maybe i'm a bit wrong. i have some live drives so i can be a bit lazy......*grin*

you can connect digitall as many cards as you have, but you will need to 'chain' them
regular Lives have only two spdif digital inputs: CDSPDIF and Generic Purpose SPDIF
you can try accessing them without livedrives by connecting to AUD_EXT pins (use it on your own risk!)

you can use each card inputs and outputs independently or route them to each other (physically)

for instance, if you have 4 cards (generic live, not '5.1'), you will get 4x2=8 stereo outputs
and 4x2=8 spdif inputs

please review our help file for details on the connectivity options
