2 Live Drive's and only 1 SB Live!

Is it possible to use 2 Live Drive's with only 1 SB Live? If the second live drive receives only power could I connect it's digital ouput (internal pins) to the DIGITAL CD IN at the SB Live card? Has anyone tried this? Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I think that the internal digital output of the livedrive is i2s ... and the cd-in is spdif ... I don't think you can connect the two formats without some sort of conversion.
but hey, I really don't know ... I would just seem weird to me since i2s input has 4 connectors, and spdif has only 2.

most livedrives require special 'initialization' in order to work...
I doubt you will manage to initialize your livedrive 'by hand'...

however, you may try switching them 'on-the-fly'... well, a bad idea (imho)
(you will need to execute 'reset settings' in order to re-initialize livedrive)

Ok, got it. "On the fly" is too risky for me... hehe

well

some livedrives don't require such initialization
anyway, try it on your own risk
