Another Victim of SB

I like many other sound blaster buyers out there have a "working" sound card in my case the SB0350, but haven't been able to install the manufacturers drivers because the card isnt being detected. So I just recently found the KX drivers and thought I would give them a try. I installed them all went well. I heard sound after the installation when i was prompted to restart my PC. After the reboot I heard the windows log on sound, and that was the end of the sound.

Ive been messing with options since then on the KB mixer, but I am striking out. Any help would be appreciated. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I havent been able to replicate anything except silence =/

I'm using logitech z5300 5.1, i believe they take analog input.

Could you post a screenshot of your DSP (right click icon->DSP)?

Are your speakers plugged into the FRONT OUT? If so, change them to the REAR OUT.

Got it. Thank you for your help.

I changed the "Swap Front and Rear mode" option in the mixer. I'm assuming that has something to do with making the ports on the rear of the card active vs. the internal front ports. Regardless its working. Finally I can get some 5.1 sounds out of this POS card.

Aside from the above, make sure that the speaker system is not set to matrix mode (i.e. make sure it is set for discreet 5.1 operation, as regardless of the swap front rear status, a 5.1 speaker system should not be completely silent, unless it is set wrong (or connected wrong)).

System Specs

Roger that Russ! With a 5.1 system he should have at least been hearing sound out of the rear speakers even though he didn't check mark the swap front and rear mode feature.

Russ ur so helpful to DriverHeaven's kX users!
