Assuming that you are using kX version 3539 (and your DSP config includes epilog): You need to make sure that any software that came with your keyboard for controlling the MM keys is disabled. If there is no such software, then I do not know, do the other MM keys on the keyboard work?

Ok, so it seems that kX's MM keyboard support is working (except for the volume knob). I think the problem is that it is a knob instead of buttons. It seems that these knobs are a joystick device instead of keyboard device, so it probably will not work with a keyboard hook.

You might try using kX version 3538m, and disable kX's MM keyboard support. This should let your keys and knob work, but without any software, you probably will not have any OSD info related to keyboard actions.

<edit>
Actually, you probably can use kX's MM KB support with 3538m, which should give you the OSD for everything except the knob (but the knob should work with 3538m),
</edit>
