Cannot record at all

I have the latest version of kx, and I simply cannot record anything. Tried Cool Edit Pro, Cubase, Goldwave, even Sound Recorder, and no dice.

Basically, what happens is when I press Record, the song position doesnt advance - it just sits at zero, and nothing gets recorded. I get empty files.

I can hear the input signal, I figured the kX Mixer out, I have the correct input enabled, but this is not the problem here.

The problem is that recording is broken somehow, because when I hit Record, the song position simply sits at zero, and doesn't move at all!

Can anyone help?

I really don't want to go back to Creative drivers!
