use both audigy and firewire audiophile box?
Hi there,
I have an Audigy card (oem, I think) that I successfully used on my Athalon xp machine with cubasis. Now I am using a Firewire audiophile box and an outboard mixer and pro tools 7 and it works great with two inputs. My question: Is there any way I can run audio into the Audigy card for the a/d converters and right back out again via spdif or firewire into the firewire audiophile box’s two spdif inputs and thus record on 4 channels simultaneously by using the kx drivers? Don’t know if my idea is too much a Rube Goldberg. Thanks |

I cannot think of a reason why you could not do it, but considering the possible differences between the ADC'S used on both cards, and that the Audigy will sample it at 48 kHz, it might not work out as well as you hope. Using 2 kX compatible cards is one thing (as they both would use a sample rate of 48 kHz), but other combinations might not work out as well.

If the audiophile box and the software you use is capable of syncing to 48kHz stream or resample it correctly, then it will work.
