Save Settings in future builds

I dunno if it's a bug or not, but whenever i save my settings in an old build (lets say 3531) u can NEVER load it in the next one (ex: 3532) , and that really pisses...

I know that every version has new features on, but still, can we fix it that load settings of future versions will be supported?

sometimes the changes between versions make them incompatible

you can always try checking the 'Version Indep.' checkbox and save the settings in version-independent format
since 3532, the 'save/restore settings' buttons in the applet windows (such as kX DSP) use this option by default

however, if the default DSP effects are changed across releases (for instance, the microcode size of 'epilog' effect), you won't be able to re-load the settings...

unfortunately, there's no workaround for this issue at the moment
I suggest you use 'Version Indep.' option, but keep in mind that the settings might get lost...

This has never worked for me. I always edit the setting file in a text editor, and change the version there...then it works...:)
